Watch the drawdown line move

Same account, same ten days of trading, three rulebooks. Play a scenario and see where a static, an end-of-day trailing and an intraday trailing drawdown would each have ended the account. Then see which firms use which.

Static

The line is set once, at start minus the max drawdown, and never moves. A winning streak doesn't shrink your room.

End-of-day trailing

At each close the line moves up to that close minus the max drawdown. What you make and give back inside a day doesn't move it.

Intraday trailing

Every new high, including open profit on a trade you haven't closed, moves the line up. A winner that comes back to break-even still cost you room.

Which firms use which

Read from each firm's own site on Mon Nov 2, 2026. A firm can appear under more than one type when it sells more than one plan. "Not stated clearly" means the page we read didn't name the type.

Simplified on purpose: real rules differ on whether the line stops at the starting balance or above it (a "safety net"), whether fees and commissions count, whether the line uses balance or equity, and what happens after you pass. The firm's page is the final word. Education, not financial advice.
