Apex EOD vs Intraday accounts

Same evaluation targets, same 100% split, different drawdown and slightly different payout caps. Here is the difference in Apex's own numbers (50K unless stated).

Quick take

  • Drawdown is the real difference. EOD only moves at the close, so an open winner that reverses doesn't lift the floor. Intraday trails your peak in real time, including open profit.
  • Intraday accounts pay a little more over six payouts ($14,500 vs $13,000 on a 50K) and need a lower daily profit to count a qualifying day ($200 vs $250).
  • Everything else is the same: targets, safety net, 100% split, 50% consistency, activation fee.

Questions about Apex EOD trailing vs Intraday trailing

Is Apex EOD or Intraday better?

They share the same targets, split and consistency rule. EOD's drawdown only moves at the daily close, which is kinder to trades that swing; Intraday trails your peak in real time. Intraday's six caps add up to $14,500 on a 50K vs $13,000 for EOD.

What is the Apex EOD payout cap?

On a 50K EOD Performance Account the six payout caps are $1,500, $1,500, $2,000, $2,500, $2,500 and $3,000, or $13,000 in total. Caps for 25K, 100K and 150K are on the Apex rules page.

Does the Apex intraday drawdown ever stop trailing?

Yes. In a Performance Account the intraday drawdown stops trailing once it reaches your starting balance plus $100, per Apex's help center.
