The short version
- The Test has a 50% consistency rule: your best day must be under 50% of your net profit, over at least 3 trading days. Missing it doesn't fail you; your profit goal just moves up.
- PRO accounts pay an 80/20 split, and you can withdraw from day one once you've built the buffer (starting balance plus max drawdown, e.g. $52,000 on 50K).
- There's no consistency rule and no daily loss limit in the funded stage, and Take Profit Trader says there's no cap on the withdrawal amount.
- The Test and PRO+ use end-of-day trailing drawdown. PRO uses intraday trailing drawdown.
- PRO+ is invite-only, pays 90/10 and has no buffer requirement.
Test rules
| Size | Profit target | Max EOD drawdown | Max contracts |
|---|---|---|---|
| 25K | $1,500 | $1,500 | 3 |
| 50K | $3,000 | $2,000 | 6 |
| 75K | $4,500 | $2,500 | 9 |
| 100K | $6,000 | $3,000 | 12 |
| 150K | $9,000 | $4,500 | 15 |
The drawdown is measured at the end of the day and follows your highest end-of-day balance until it reaches your starting balance, then stops. If your balance touches the minimum at any time, realized or not, the account is liquidated. See how EOD drawdown moves →
The 50% consistency rule (Test only)
Your best day divided by your net profit must be below 50%, and you need at least 3 trading days (any day with one trade counts). If your best day is too big, you haven't failed. Your goal just becomes more than 2× your best day, and it shows in your dashboard.
Take Profit Trader's example (50K, $3,000 target): +$2,000, +$600, +$500. The best day is $2,000 ÷ $3,100 = 65%, which is too high, so you need more than $4,000 in total.
There is no consistency rule once you reach PRO.

PRO payouts and the buffer
PRO pays 80/20. You can withdraw from day one, once your balance reaches the buffer, which equals your starting balance plus your max drawdown. After that, payouts can be daily, with no minimum number of profit days, and Take Profit Trader says there's no cap on the amount and withdrawals are usually processed the same day.
| Size | Buffer (balance to reach) |
|---|---|
| 25K | $26,500 |
| 50K | $52,000 |
| 75K | $77,500 |
| 100K | $103,000 |
| 150K | $154,500 |
After a PRO account is closed, you can withdraw 50% of the buffer zone.
PRO account rules
- Intraday trailing drawdown, the same amount as your Test. It follows your peak balance including open profit and stops once it reaches your starting balance. Touch it and the account is liquidated.
- No bots or algos. Every trade has to be placed by hand.
- Trade at least one day per calendar week (Sunday to Friday) to keep the account active. Contact support if you need an exception.
- No counter positions: you can't hold opposite positions in the same or closely related products. This applies to Test, PRO and PRO+.
- Be flat around big news: no open positions or orders from one minute before to one minute after FOMC statements, NFP and CPI.
- Exit before limit up or limit down. If a price limit is hit while you're in a position, you lose the account.
PRO+
PRO+ is a live-market account that Take Profit Trader offers by invitation to its most consistent PRO traders. It pays 90/10, uses end-of-day trailing drawdown and has no buffer requirement. The weekly trading, news and counter-position rules still apply.
