The short version

  • Four models: Stellar 2-Step (8% then 5%), Stellar 1-Step (10%), Stellar Lite (8% then 4%) and Stellar Instant (no evaluation). The FundedNext Account has no profit target.
  • Loss limits are set from your starting balance: daily 5% on 2-Step, 3% on 1-Step, 4% on Lite and none on Instant; max loss 10%, 6% and 8%, all static, and 6% trailing on Instant.
  • Minimum trading days: 5 per phase on 2-Step, 2 on 1-Step, 2 per phase on Lite accounts bought or reset from October 12, 2026, and none on Instant.
  • Rewards: 80% as standard, rising to 90% with Scale-Up. 2-Step and Lite buyers pick a payout option at checkout: Standard (80%), every 3 profitable days (60%) or On-Demand (90%, with a 40% consistency rule). Instant pays 70%, then 80% from tier 3.
  • On a FundedNext Account, only 40% of the profit from trades within 5 minutes of high-impact news on a related symbol counts, and you can't have more than 3% of your starting balance at risk at once.

FundedNext's General Rules page still lists 5 minimum trading days for Stellar Lite. Its help center says Lite accounts bought or reset on or after October 12, 2026 need 2 days per phase, and older ones keep 5.

*Lite accounts bought or reset before October 12, 2026 need 5 per phase.

  • 2-Step has the widest loss limits and the most choice of payout schedule, and its fee is refunded with your first reward.
  • 1-Step is one phase with the tightest limits (3% daily, 6% max). Rewards come every 5 business days.
  • Lite sits between them, with a lower Phase 2 target (4%). It has no 15% reward from the Challenge.
  • Instant skips the evaluation, has no daily loss limit and no consistency rule, but its max loss trails and its fee is never refunded. Sizes run from $2,000 to $20,000, with up to $20,000 active at once.
  • There is no time limit on any Challenge, but an account with no trade in 60 days in a row is deactivated. These are FundedNext's CFD accounts; FundedNext Futures has its own rules.

Daily and max loss

  • Daily loss is a percentage of your starting balance, counting realized and unrealized P&L, swaps and commission. It resets at 0:00 server time. On a $100,000 2-Step account that is $5,000 a day.
  • Static max loss (2-Step, 1-Step, Lite) is set from your starting balance and never moves. A $100,000 2-Step account can't drop below $90,000, balance or equity, at any point; a 1-Step can't drop below $94,000.
  • Trailing max loss (Instant) starts 6% below your starting balance, rises as your balance makes new highs and stops rising once it reaches the starting balance. FundedNext's example: on a $10,000 account it starts at $9,400 and moves to $9,600 when the balance reaches $10,200.
  • Instant after a reward: the limit doesn't reset or move down when you withdraw, so every reward shrinks your cushion. FundedNext's example: take $100 from a $10,200 balance and the gap to a $9,600 limit drops from $600 to $500.
  • Breaching either limit closes the account.

Minimum trading days and Quick Strike

  • What counts: a separate calendar day on which you place at least one trade. FundedNext's rules page says the trade needs non-zero P&L. Days don't have to be in a row.
  • Hitting the target early doesn't pass the phase. You still need the minimum days.
  • No Minimum Trading Days add-on: on the 2-Step, this checkout option removes the rule on $6,000, $15,000 and $25,000 accounts only.
  • Quick Strike: trades closed within 30 seconds of opening are tracked as a share of your profit. On the 2-Step Challenge, FundedNext says that share must stay below 30% at all times.
  • FundedNext Account: no minimum days and no profit target on any model.

Rewards, splits and payout options

LiteEvery 10 business days (Standard)80%With 3rd reward
InstantAt 5% growth, or every 14 days with 1%+70%, then 80%Never
  • 2-Step and Lite payout options, picked at checkout and fixed after purchase: Standard (80%, schedule above), 3 Day Performance Reward (60%; at least 3 profitable days per cycle, each of at least 1% of the account) or On-Demand (90%; any time once the account is up 2% and your best day is no more than 40% of total profit).
  • Scale-Up lifts the standard split from 80% to 90%, and the Lifetime Reward 95% add-on makes it 95% on any option.
  • 15% reward from the Challenge (1-Step and 2-Step only, not for US clients): 15% of the Challenge profit target, paid once you meet the Scale-Up criteria. Lite and Instant don't get it.
  • Instant tiers: 70% in tiers 1 and 2, then 80% from tier 3. You need at least 1% growth in the cycle to request any reward. FundedNext warns that withdrawing the full eligible amount in a tier 1 cycle breaches the account under its max loss math.
  • Reviews: every request goes through a compliance review first, and FundedNext says approved rewards are processed within 24 hours.
  • Older accounts: 1-Step accounts bought before January 12, 2026 kept a 90% starting split.

News, risk and EA rules

  • News: you can trade news in every Challenge. On a FundedNext Account, trades opened or closed from 5 minutes before to 5 minutes after a listed high-impact release on a related symbol (EUR/USD during USD or EUR news, for example) count only 40% of their profit. Losses count in full, and pending orders, stop losses and take profits are included.
  • Holding through news is fine: FundedNext says you can keep running trades open during the release.
  • Which accounts: FundedNext's news article names the 1-Step, 2-Step and Lite FundedNext Accounts, and its Stellar Instant guide says the same 40% rule applies there too.
  • Risk rule: on a FundedNext Account, no more than 3% of your starting balance can be at risk at any time, counting stop-loss distance and open losses across all trades.
  • EAs: on 2-Step accounts of $50,000 and up, Expert Advisors aren't allowed and you trade manually.

Questions about FundedNext rules

What are the FundedNext Stellar 2-Step rules?

An 8% target in Phase 1 and 5% in Phase 2, a 5% daily loss limit and a 10% static max loss, both from your starting balance, and at least 5 trading days in each phase. There is no time limit.

What is the FundedNext profit split?

80% on the 2-Step, 1-Step and Lite as standard, rising to 90% after Scale-Up, or 95% with the Lifetime add-on. 2-Step and Lite buyers can instead pick 60% with rewards every 3 profitable days or 90% On-Demand. Stellar Instant pays 70%, then 80% from tier 3.

Does FundedNext have a consistency rule?

Only on the On-Demand payout option for 2-Step and Lite: your best day can be no more than 40% of total profit, and the account must be up 2%. Stellar Instant has no consistency rule.

Is the FundedNext max loss trailing?

Not on the 2-Step, 1-Step or Lite, where it is static from your starting balance. On Stellar Instant it is a 6% trailing limit that stops at your starting balance and doesn't reset after a reward.

Can I trade news at FundedNext?

Yes in every Challenge. On a FundedNext Account, only 40% of the profit from trades within 5 minutes before or after a high-impact release on a related symbol counts, while losses count in full.

How many trading days does FundedNext require?

5 per phase on the 2-Step, 2 on the 1-Step and none on Instant. Lite needs 2 per phase on accounts bought or reset from October 12, 2026, and 5 on older ones.
