TradeDay rules and payouts

Both TradeDay evaluations, how each funded account pays and how you reach Funded Live, with every number taken from TradeDay's own help center.

The short version

  • Two evaluations with the same targets and drawdowns: Quick Pay (5-day minimum, 30% consistency) and Fast Pass (no minimum days, 45% consistency, passable in 3 days).
  • Quick Pay funded: payouts from your first day with no consistency rule and no buffer, but the split is 50/50 below $4,000 of current profit and 80/20 above it. The drawdown is intraday.
  • Fast Pass funded: 80/20 after every 5 profitable days, up to 50% of the balance and a cap ($1,500 on a 50K opened from Jul 26, 2026), with a 45% consistency rule on accounts opened from that date.
  • Funded Live pays 90/10. Quick Pay accounts are reviewed for live at $10,000 gross profit; Fast Pass accounts move on the 5th payout request.
  • No trading over Tier 1 data releases (FOMC, CPI, jobs report and others), no positions into the close, and funded traders can't trade within 2% of a price limit.

Fast Pass payout caps and the funded consistency rule changed for accounts opened on or after Jul 26, 2026; the older figures are shown next to the new ones.

Quick Pay and Fast Pass evaluations

50K$3,000$2,0005 (50 micros)
100K$6,000$3,00010 (50 micros)
150K$9,000$4,50015 (50 micros)
  • Quick Pay: trade at least 5 days and keep every day at or under 30% of your total profit. You choose an intraday or end-of-day trailing drawdown when you buy.
  • Fast Pass: no minimum days and a 45% consistency line. The drawdown is end of day only.
  • One risk rule: touching the max drawdown ends the evaluation. No activation fee, and resets are available.
  • Hit the Quick Pay target early? Keep trading the way you have been until day 5. TradeDay says traders shouldn't sit in the funding zone scratching 1-lot micros.

The consistency rule

TradeDay divides your biggest day by your total profit so far. A big day never fails the evaluation; it raises the total profit you need before you pass.

TradeDay's example (Quick Pay 50K, $3,000 target): a $1,200 day means you need $4,000 in total profit ($1,200 ÷ 0.30).

On Fast Pass funded accounts, gross profit means current profit plus payouts already taken.

Quick Pay funded payouts: from your first day

  • Every Quick Pay funded account uses an intraday trailing drawdown, whatever you used in the evaluation. Balances and the drawdown are based on gross profit (current profit plus payouts), so the drawdown keeps trailing after you take a payout.
  • No milestones, no consistency rule and no buffer. You can ask for your first payout after one trading day and withdraw any time the balance is positive. Minimum $250; requests before 5:30 PM are processed the next business day.
  • Split by current profit: 50/50 below $4,000, and 80/20 above it as long as the payout still leaves more than $4,000. A payout that crosses $4,000 is split in proportion.
  • TradeDay's example (50K): $6,000 of current profit and a $3,000 request. The first $2,000 is paid at 80/20 ($1,600), the last $1,000 at 50/50 ($500), so you receive $2,100.
  • At $10,000 gross profit the account is paused at the 4:30 PM CT end-of-day run and reviewed for Funded Live. Profit above $10,000 is removed, so stop trading when you get there.

Fast Pass funded payouts: every 5 profitable days

SizeProfitable dayCap (opened from Jul 26)Cap (before)
25K$100+$750n/a
50K$150+$1,500$2,000
100K$200+$1,875$2,500
150K$250+$2,250$3,000
  • 80/20 split and no buffer. Each payout can be up to 50% of the account balance, up to the cap, with a $250 minimum.
  • Each cycle needs a balance above the starting balance, a net profit since the last payout and 5 profitable days (they don't have to be in a row).
  • Same end-of-day drawdown as the evaluation. On your first payout, if the drawdown hasn't reached the starting balance yet, it moves up to it and stays fixed.
  • Contract limits start at 1, 2, 3 and 4 contracts (25K to 150K) and rise by 1 contract for every $2,000 of profit, checked at end of day.
  • Don't trade between requesting a payout and receiving it. Day 1 of the next cycle starts with the following session.
  • You move to Funded Live on your 5th payout request, or earlier if TradeDay sees consistent trading.

TradeDay's payout policy article lists a $1,875 cap for a 100K; its Fast Pass overview lists $1,850.

Funded Live

  • 90/10 split. You can hold up to 5 Funded Live accounts. Losing one means a 3-month cooling-off period with no new evaluations.
  • A Fast Pass Live account starts at a $0 balance with the same end-of-day drawdown as your tier and your funded starting contract limit. TradeDay's 50K example: the floor starts at −$1,500 and trails up; once the balance reaches $2,000 the floor locks at +$500 as a slippage buffer and you can withdraw, keeping more than $500 in the account.
  • Quick Pay profit moved to Funded Live is paid under the Quick Pay split at the time of the move. If you arrive with only the required buffer, a payout from it is split 50%; profit above the buffer is split 90%.

Questions about TradeDay rules

What is TradeDay's consistency rule?

No single day can be more than 30% of your total profit in a Quick Pay evaluation, or 45% in a Fast Pass evaluation. Fast Pass funded accounts opened on or after Jul 26, 2026 also use 45% of gross profit. Quick Pay funded accounts have no consistency rule.

How many days does it take to pass TradeDay?

Quick Pay needs at least 5 trading days. Fast Pass has no minimum, and TradeDay says you can pass in 3 days because of the 45% rule.

What is TradeDay's profit split?

Quick Pay funded: 50/50 below $4,000 of current profit and 80/20 above it. Fast Pass funded: 80/20. Funded Live: 90/10.

What is TradeDay's minimum payout?

$250 on Quick Pay and Fast Pass funded accounts.

Does TradeDay have a payout buffer?

Not on Quick Pay or Fast Pass funded sim accounts. Funded Live accounts keep a slippage buffer ($500 in TradeDay's 50K example).

Can you trade news at TradeDay?

Not over TradeDay's Tier 1 releases, such as FOMC, CPI and the jobs report, plus EIA and crop reports for those products. Profits from trading them aren't returned if a funded account is lost.

When do you move to Funded Live at TradeDay?

Quick Pay accounts are reviewed at $10,000 of gross profit. Fast Pass accounts move on the 5th payout request, or earlier at TradeDay's discretion.
