Alpha Futures rules and payouts

All three Alpha Futures evaluations, how each Qualified Account pays and the rules that can block a payout, with every number taken from Alpha Futures' own site and help center.

The short version

  • Three monthly evaluations: Zero (no consistency rule, pass in 1 day), Standard (50% consistency, no Daily Loss Guard) and Advanced (40% consistency, higher target, no Daily Loss Guard). No activation fee on any of them.
  • Once Qualified, Zero and Standard use a 40% consistency rule on every payout, Advanced has none, and Direct (no evaluation) uses 20%.
  • Payouts: after every 5 winning days of $200 or more, take up to 50% of your profit, up to a cap ($1,500 Zero, $3,000 Standard, $15,000 Advanced on a 50K). You receive 90%, up to 4 times a month.
  • The Maximum Loss Limit trails at end of day on every account and stops at your starting balance. It doesn't move to your starting balance when you take a payout.
  • On Zero, Standard and Direct Qualified Accounts, no orders within 2 minutes of high-impact news. Advanced Qualified Accounts have no news restriction.

Alpha Futures' own pages differ on whether a day at exactly 40% of your profit passes the Qualified Account rule, so treat 40% as the limit to stay under.

The plans at a glance

ZeroNo consistency rule40%$1,500

Advanced40%None$15,000
DirectNo evaluation20%See policy
  • Zero is the only evaluation with no consistency rule, so one big day can pass it. It has a Daily Loss Guard at both stages.
  • Standard has no Daily Loss Guard in the evaluation. An optional add-on at checkout removes the 40% rule from the Standard Qualified Account; the evaluation keeps its 50% rule.
  • Advanced has the highest target and the largest payout cap, no Daily Loss Guard and no consistency rule once Qualified.
  • Direct skips the evaluation and pays from a Withdrawal Profit Target instead of winning days (see below).

Evaluation rules

50K planTargetMax lossDaily guardMin days
Zero$3,000$2,000$1,0001
Standard$3,000$2,000None2
Advanced$4,000$1,750None3
  • Sizes. Zero comes in 25K, 50K and 100K ($1,500 / $3,000 / $6,000 targets, $1,000 / $2,000 / $3,000 max loss). Standard in 50K, 100K and 150K ($3,000 / $6,000 / $9,000 targets, $2,000 / $3,000 / $4,500 max loss). Advanced in 50K, 100K and 150K ($4,000 / $8,000 / $12,000 targets, $1,750 / $3,500 / $5,250 max loss).
  • Contracts on a 50K. Zero 3 minis or 30 micros; Standard and Advanced 5 minis or 50 micros.
  • Price. Every evaluation is a monthly subscription with no activation fee. 50K list prices on Nov 4: Zero $169, Standard $129, Advanced $209 a month. Our True Cost Index compares the cost to a first payout across firms.
  • If you hit the max loss in an evaluation, you can buy a reset or wait for your monthly rebill to start again.

The consistency rules

Alpha Futures divides your biggest day by your total net profit. In an evaluation it is checked over the whole evaluation; on a Qualified Account it is checked on the profit since your last withdrawal request, and it resets after each request.

  • Standard evaluation, 50%: no single day can be larger than 50% of your net profit. Alpha's own suggestion for a 50K with a $3,000 target: keep your best day at $1,500 or less.
  • Advanced evaluation, 40%: the same at 40%. On a 50K with a $4,000 target, Alpha suggests a best day of $1,600 or less, so at least 3 days.
  • Zero and Standard Qualified, 40%: the withdrawal button stays off until your best day since the last request is under 40% of that profit. Going over doesn't breach the account; you keep trading.
  • Direct, 20%: the same rule at 20%.

Alpha's example: on a Zero Qualified Account with a $1,200 best day, you need more than $3,000 of profit since your last request before the rule passes.

Qualified Account payouts

PlanMinimumMaximum per request
Zero$200$1,000 (25K) · $1,500 (50K) · $2,500 (100K)
Standard$500$3,000 (50K) · $4,000 (100K) · $5,000 (150K)
Advanced$1,000$15,000 on every size
  • When: after every 5 winning days of $200 or more. They don't have to be in a row, but you need 5 new ones between requests.
  • How much: up to 50% of the profit in the account, or the plan's maximum, whichever comes first. The rest stays in the account.
  • Split: the requested amount leaves your account and you receive 90% of it. Alpha calls the payment a performance fee.
  • How often: up to 4 payouts a month, with no set payout dates. Identity verification (KYC) comes first.
  • The max loss stays put: it doesn't slide to your starting balance at your first payout. If it was at $49,200 before a payout, it stays at $49,200.
  • Methods: ACH (US banks), wire, SWIFT, Wise and Rise, all in USD.

Direct: no evaluation

Direct size1st targetLater targetsMax payout
25K$1,500$1,000$1,000
50K$3,000$2,000Per Alpha's payout policy
100K$6,000$4,000$2,500
150K$9,000$6,000$3,000

Direct accounts start Qualified, with no winning-day count. Reach the Withdrawal Profit Target, meet the 20% consistency rule, and request at least $500, at a 90% split, up to 4 times a month. The target resets after each payout and leftover profit doesn't carry over.

Max loss, Daily Loss Guard and news

  • Maximum Loss Limit: end-of-day trailing on every Alpha account; none trail intraday. It follows your highest end-of-day balance and stops at the starting balance. On a 50K Zero, it starts at $48,000 and stops at $50,000 once you close a day at $52,000.
  • It still breaks intraday: touch the limit at any moment, open or closed, and the account is liquidated. On a Qualified Account that closes it.
  • Daily Loss Guard (Zero at both stages, Standard Qualified): hit it and the account locks until the next trading day at 6 PM ET. You don't lose the account. It is $1,000 on a 50K.
  • News: on Zero, Standard and Direct Qualified Accounts, no orders within 2 minutes before or after high-impact news. Breaking it voids that trade's profit and the payout is denied; the first time is a warning. Advanced Qualified Accounts have no news restriction.
  • Inactivity: place a trade at least once every 10 trading days.

Questions about Alpha Futures rules

What is the Alpha Futures consistency rule?

It depends on the plan and stage. Standard evaluations use 50% and Advanced evaluations 40%; Zero evaluations have none. Once Qualified, Zero and Standard use 40% of the profit since your last request, Direct uses 20%, and Advanced has no consistency rule.

How do Alpha Futures payouts work?

On Zero, Standard and Advanced Qualified Accounts, you can request up to 50% of your profit after every 5 winning days of $200 or more, up to the plan's cap. You receive 90% of each request, up to 4 times a month.

How fast can I pass an Alpha Futures evaluation?

Zero can be passed in 1 day because it has no consistency rule. Standard needs at least 2 days and Advanced at least 3.

Does Alpha Futures charge an activation fee?

No. Zero, Standard and Advanced have no activation fee. The evaluations are monthly subscriptions.

Can I trade news at Alpha Futures?

Not within 2 minutes before or after high-impact news on Zero, Standard and Direct Qualified Accounts. Advanced Qualified Accounts have no news trading restriction.

Is the Alpha Futures drawdown end of day?

Yes. Alpha says the Maximum Loss Limit trails at end of day on all of its accounts and stops at the starting balance. Touching it at any moment still breaches the account.
