The short version
- 25 plans at 12 futures firms, all 50K accounts, each read from the firm's own pages on Nov 4, 2026.
- At list price, before any code, the fees to a first payout run from $94 (LucidDaily) to $719 (Apex EOD). Codes change these numbers a lot; live ones are on the deals page.
- 7 plans add an activation fee when you pass: Elite Trader Funding ($177 on both plans), Topstep's Standard path ($149), Take Profit Trader ($130), Purdia Capital ($130) and Apex ($99 on Intraday, $129 on EOD).
- Monthly plans (Alpha Futures, Earn2Trade, Elite Trader Funding, Purdia Capital, Take Profit Trader, Topstep, TradeDay Quick Pay) bill again every month until you pass. The calculator below adds extra months, extra attempts and your discount.
- The fewest trading days to a first payout request is 2, on FundedNext Futures Rapid Daily. Most plans need several winning days once funded.

Fees: the evaluation (one month on monthly plans) plus any activation fee. Days: the fewest evaluation days plus the fewest funded days before you can ask for a payout, from each firm's rules. Break-even: the account profit you'd need to withdraw for your share to cover the fees, after the split (our math). Sorted cheapest first. A discount usually applies to the evaluation only, and on monthly plans often to the first month only.

What the fees don't show
- More attempts. Topstep's 2025 figures: 16.8% of Trading Combines started were passed, while 51.8% of people passed at least one. Many traders buy more than one evaluation, so set the calculator to what you expect.
- Money left in the account. Several firms need a buffer before the first payout. Apex and LucidPro need a $52,600 balance on a 50K for the $500 minimum payout, and Take Profit Trader needs $52,000 before your first PRO withdrawal.
- The split. TradeDay's Quick Pay pays 50/50 below $4,000 of profit, so it takes $262 of profit to win back $131. Apex pays 100% of approved payouts.
- Data and platform fees. Topstep's Level 2 data is a $38 a month upgrade, and Lucid charges professional traders $112 a month per exchange. Neither is in the totals.
- Resets. Several firms sell a reset for less than a new evaluation, for example Tradeify ($109 on a Select 50K) and Take Profit Trader ($99 on a 50K Test). Resets aren't in the totals.
More on where the money goes in our guide on how prop firms make money.
Not in the index yet
- Bulenox: Its evaluation price only appears after you pick options at checkout. The 50K Master activation fee is $148, paid once.
- TradeDay Fast Pass: Its price only shows after you pick it on TradeDay's page.
- Tradeify Growth and Lightning: Their prices only show after you switch tabs on Tradeify's page; we list Select, the plan shown first.
- Funded Futures Family: Its articles say current per-size prices are on its plans page, which didn't show them when we checked.
- Atlas Funded: Its futures pages and docs didn't show 50K prices when we checked.
- Other firms: We add a firm once we have read its full evaluation and payout rules, and more are on the way.
How we build the index
- One account size. Every row is a 50K account, the size most firms show first.
- List prices. The price on the firm's own page or help center, never a sale or code price. Live codes are on the deals page; type yours into the calculator.
- One pass, first try. Monthly plans are counted for one month, and activation fees once.
- Fewest days. The firm's own minimum evaluation days plus its minimum funded days before a payout request. Real traders usually take longer.
- Full rules first. We only list firms whose full evaluation and payout rules we have read, and we re-check prices every month.

Questions
What is the cheapest prop firm to get a first payout from?
On our November 4, 2026 check at list price, LucidDaily ($94, one-time) and Topstep's No Activation Fee path ($95 for one month) were the lowest fees to a first payout on a 50K account. Codes and sales change these numbers often, so use the calculator with the discount you actually have.
What is an activation fee?
A one-time fee some firms charge when you pass the evaluation, before your funded account opens. On a 50K: Topstep's Standard path charges $149, Take Profit Trader $130, Apex $99 on Intraday and $129 on EOD. Tradeify, Lucid, MFFU, TradeDay and FundedNext Futures say they charge none.
Is a monthly prop firm plan cheaper than a one-time fee?
Only if you pass quickly. Topstep, Take Profit Trader and TradeDay's Quick Pay bill every month until you pass, so a two-month evaluation costs twice the monthly fee. One-time plans cost the same however long you take, though Apex's fee covers 30 days of access.
How long does it take to get a first payout from a prop firm?
At the fastest the firms allow, from 2 trading days (FundedNext Rapid Daily: pass in one day, then any day above the buffer) to 8 or more. Most need several winning days in the funded account first. These are minimums; most traders take longer.
Does this index include resets and failed attempts?
No. It shows one evaluation passed at the first try. Set the calculator to the number of evaluations or months you expect to buy. Topstep's 2025 figures show 16.8% of Combines started were passed, while 51.8% of people passed at least one, so many traders buy more than one.
