Short readings are ours; the right-hand column is copied from each firm's own help center, FAQ or terms on Nov 6, 2026 (the arrow opens the page we read). "Not stated" means the pages we read don't say. Tap a firm for its full rules page.

How we checked

Each answer is one of the twelve fixed questions we keep on every firm's rules page, read from the firm's own help center on Nov 6, 2026 and re-read every Monday. We don't rank firms here and we don't infer a rule a firm hasn't written down: where the pages we read are silent, the row says so. If a firm changes its rule, its rules page and this table change together.

How many prop firm accounts can you have?

It depends on the stage. Most firms let you run more evaluations than funded accounts: Lucid allows up to 10 active evaluations and 5 funded, Atlas 10 and 5, MyFundedFutures 10 evaluations and 5 sim-funded at 25K and 50K, TradeDay 10 evaluations and 5 funded sim, Earn2Trade 5 and 3. Tradeify allows up to 15 Select evaluations per 30 days and unlimited Growth evaluations against 5 funded accounts per household; Take Profit Trader allows unlimited Test accounts and 5 PRO or PRO+. Topstep's limit is 5 Express Funded Accounts (1 for Shoulder Tap holders). Apex and Elite Trader Funding allow 20 funded accounts, Apex per household with every account trading in the same direction. Alpha Futures and Purdia allow 3.

How many Lucid accounts can you have?

Lucid's own page: up to 10 active evaluations, 5 funded and 5 LucidLive accounts per household, and no more than 10 accounts in total across evaluations and funded. So 5 evaluations means at most 5 funded accounts.

Can you copy trade across your own accounts?

Account limits and copy trading are separate rules, and this table only shows what the limits pages say. Apex requires all of your Performance Accounts to trade in the same direction, which is how a copier is normally used. Atlas bans copying or hedging with another person, and Earn2Trade bans coordinated trading across accounts or parties, both aimed at other people's accounts rather than your own. Whether you may copy your own trades is answered on each firm's rules page under "Bots and automation" where the firm states it.

Max accounts vs max allocation: what's the difference?

A count limit caps how many accounts you hold; an allocation limit caps the simulated capital across them, whatever the count. FTMO has no account count limit but caps total capital at $400,000 per trader or strategy before scaling. FundedNext lists a $600,000 maximum allocation on Stellar 1-Step, and FundedNext Futures allows up to $750,000 in challenges at a time alongside 5 funded accounts. FXIFY allows one account per size on 2 Phase Pro up to $785,000 in total. Alpha Futures uses both: 3 Qualified accounts per household and $450,000 combined. The5ers applies per-program limits plus overall allocation caps.

Questions

How many funded accounts can I have at one prop firm?

Usually five. Topstep, Tradeify, Take Profit Trader, Atlas, Bulenox, Funded Futures Family, FundedNext Futures, MyFundedFutures (at 25K and 50K) and TradeDay cap funded accounts at 5. Apex and Elite Trader Funding allow 20, Alpha Futures 3 per household (5 Direct), Earn2Trade 3, Purdia 3, Lucid 5 funded plus 5 live.

Both exist. Apex, Tradeify, Alpha Futures, Funded Futures Family, FundedNext Futures and TradeDay count per household; Bulenox allows one trader profile per household unless Compliance approves another. Topstep, Take Profit Trader and MyFundedFutures state per-person limits.

Which prop firms limit capital instead of account count?

FundedNext lists a $600,000 maximum allocation on Stellar 1-Step, FundedNext Futures allows up to $750,000 in challenges at a time, and FXIFY allows one account per size up to $785,000 on 2 Phase Pro.

Can I trade several prop firm accounts in different directions?

Not at Apex, which requires all your Performance Accounts to trade in the same direction, and not at the many firms that ban hedging across accounts. See our hedging comparison.
